Paqueta has just returned to action after missing the defeat at Chelsea with a Liesstam who was an important player since Graham Potter took the lead.

Although the seriousness of the injury remains unknown, every long -term absence would be a huge blow for Potter whose side travels to Arsenal this weekend with only one victory of their last five Premier League matches among their new manager.

Potter has been plagued since his arrival last month by attacking injuries with Niclas Fullkrug, Mikhail Antonio and Crysencio Summerville all aside.

Club captain Jarrod Bowen has just returned from a broken foot and the defeat of West Ham against Brentford on Saturday was the first time Bowen, Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus had started under Potter.

Paqueta struggled under former coachy Julen Lopetegui but was rejuvenated under Potter and scored twice in five starts under the former boss of Brighton.
