West Ham boss Graham Potter finally gives his verdict on Chelsea sacking

Thankful Graham Potter believes that his bruises Chelsea experience has left him a better manager.

The new boss of West Ham returns tomorrow night to Stamford Bridge, not sure of which reception he will receive. But instead of wearing a chip on his shoulder because of how he was hardly rejected in a time of chaos in Chelsea, Potter, 49, stands out that he is grateful for his short time in West London.

And asked if he feels the need to find a sense of closure of the Dugout road, he said: “I don't think so. Do you know in a football life that you are going to get ups and downs and it was a period that I naturally wanted that things would be better at that time. Absolute.

“And I didn't want to lose my job. But at the same time I look back now and maybe this is the best thing that happened to me and maybe the next 10 to 20 years will be great because of the experience I have had.

“I just see it as a learning experience. I don't have bad feelings about Chelsea, I still have many good relationships with the people there. Of course I wish them the best of when we play them, of course.

“But I just look forward to the journey that I am now with West Ham at this great club and that connection with the supporters, to work with the team and to build something that we are really enthusiastic about and proud of this are. “

Potter is sure that he has learned lessons from seven months from Tumult at Chelsea.

He reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League, but found it difficult to maximize the potential of a team that was blown up in this way by the transfer onions of the owners who had to change some in the corridors of the training field.

“Sometimes the experiences that are traumatic and the harder and more intense are, they are those who, if you can allow them, can make the biggest difference in terms of growth and development,” he added.

West Ham does not expect a hectic deadline day, even though it likes to add a new striker. But their concerns in the attack are relaxed with Jarrod Bowen's faster than expected return of a broken foot.

The captain can be part of tomorrow's team that returned to the training last week, although Potter is still sweating on the fitness of Lucas Paqueta and Crysencio Summerville remains offside.
