Chelsea fans were stunned by the trolls of West Ham of Cole Palmer -in which they referred to one of their Frany players.
The traveling Hammers supporters mocked the international of England after having burned a shot over the bar in the London Derby on Monday evening.
Sections of the traveling supporters sang “You are just the same *** Andy Irving!” After Palmer's efforts flew high over the bar.
The singing was in reference to West Ham's Scotland International Irving, who had a surprise start at Stamford Bridge.
And to say that blues fans were perplexed by the insult, an understatement would be.
One of the Stamford Bridge – believers wrote on X: “I can't emphasize enough that I don't mean a lack of respect at all – but who is Andy Irving?”
Another said, “I have no idea who this Andy Irving is.”
And another said, “Who is Andy Irving and why is every singing of the end of him?”
It was noted: “I am not even sarcastic here. Who the F ** K is Andy Irving?”
Another Chimed in: “Andy Irving is the footballer whose existence is most confuses me.
“Where has a 24-year-old Scottish midfielder I have never heard of, now playing at Stamford Bridge for West Ham?”
The start of Irving at the bridge only marked his tenth performance for West Ham since he came to the East Londonen in the summer of 2023.
Hammers -Baas Graham Potter was full of praise for the shot and said: “His spirit and his request and I think his training performances that have earned.
“Of course we lost Edson Alvarez fairly late [to injury] So we had to adjust.
“I think the decision was clear to Andy because he was very well trained and I think it is important that the group knows that. I am happy with him.”
West Ham signed Irving in the summer of 2023, but he continued to loan in SK Austria Klagenfurt for the season.
The strange part of the deal was that there was no official announcement of the transfer.
Only when he arrived before the season last summer that he did enough to convince the now collected manager Julen Lopetegui that he was worth a place in the team for the season.
Chelsea hit 2-1 winners in the London Derby, with a Pedro Neto strike and his own goal from Aaron Wan-Bissaka who moves them above Manchester City to fourth place.
