That left them at a striking distance from the biggest last victory ever Champions League, which actually inserted Inter's City Rivals AC Milan.
Previously, the biggest victory in the largest match of European football was the final of the Champions League of 1993/94 between AC Milan and Barcelona. It was Johan Cruyff's Barcelona 'Dream Team', but Fabio Capello's Milan came out as 4-0 winners.
Earlier there had been three European cup final, which also ended with four-purpose margins: Real Madrid 7-3 Frankfurt (18/05/1960); Bayern 4-0 Atlético (17/05/1974); and AC Milan 4-0 Steaua (24/05/1989).
