According to the Sun (via MD) Los Blancos would be willing to spend an eye-watery € 115 million to the 29-year-old. There are people who believe that Rodri would be easier to sign next summer, with only two years left over his deal, and it is not certain whether he will sign a new one. This loosely corresponds to information from Cadena Ser that if Manchester City is willing to sell for € 100 million, Real Madrid regards a deal.
One of the variables in Real Madrid's striving for Rodri, albeit this summer or next, is his injury. Los Blancos would like an indication that he has or can come back to his best after his nine months. If that happened, and if Real Madrid got an indication that the city was willing to do business, then there could be a step. So far, Pep Guardiola has not shown a sign that he is open to Rodri, and he remains an important part of their plans.
Despite all these circumstances, there has been no shortage to talk about a movement for Rodri. It could be very good that Los Blancos would like to push Rodri to a movement, or asks City to let him leave, so that a transfer is set in motion for them.
