The last day of the Premier League on Sunday sees an opportunity for a large number of clubs to secure continental football.
Teams from the third to the ninth in the table still do not know which European competition they are next season, if present.
English teams can get up to 10 European places next season due to the impressive performance of Premier League teams in UEFA competitions this year, including six in the Champions League.
The competition position of Liverpool and Arsenal has already guaranteed them to play Champions League football, while Tottenham fell to them after winning the Europa League and three more places were left for picking up.
Crystal Palace has already secured a place in the Europa League of next season by winning the FA Cup last Saturday.
This is how things could go on the last day.
Who is in conflict?
Man City, Newcastle and Chelsea currently occupy the three Champions League spots that are still taking.
Aston Villa and Newcastle are currently occupying the Europa League bights, but can still sneak the top five when the results go their way.
Lower along the table, Brighton and Brentford are still with a long chance of the qualification of the conference competition by ending eighth – but they need an abundance of favors from elsewhere.
Man
City is currently in the strongest position to secure their place next season, sitting in third place on 68 points.
They are confronted with Fulham in Craven Cottage in their last game of the season, with a victory that guarantees their place in the top five.
A draw would also effectively protect Champions League football because of their goal difference that is superior to Aston Villa in the sixth.
A loss in West London should bring their fate into the hands of others – but Newcastle, Chelsea and Villa should all win to force City to sixth and in the Europa League.
Newcastle
Despite their recent loss against Arsenal, Newcastle is also ready for Champions League football next season – they are in fourth place with 66 points.
A place in at least the Conference League is guaranteed after their Carabao Cup triumph in March – and their target difference makes it anything but certain that the magpies will end in the top 6.
A victory in their last fixture against Everton would effectively seal the place of Newcastle in Europe Premier Club competition.
Their target difference is – again – too superior to Aston villas, apart from a Miracle 14 -goal swing for the men of Unai Emery.
A draw would risk their top five place. Both parties win in Forest vs Chelsea, in addition to a Villa victory, the Geordies would see in the Europa League places falling if they share the points on Sunday.
However, if Eddie Howe's side loses, only a villa loss would enable them to take the qualification of the Champions League.
Chelsea
Chelsea currently occupies the fifth and final Champions League location and shares the total of 66 points from Newcastle – but is confronted with a tough test away from fellow European Katiers Forest.
A victory over the city would place the blues in the same boat as Newcastle; Their place would almost be guaranteed with a better goal difference than Villa. The blues can also book a Europa League place by winning the Conference League.
A draw could also do the work for the men of Enzo Maresca -only a Villa victory, combined with a Newcastle win or draw, she would see falling past the table.
However, a loss would considerably reduce their chances. Chelsea should hope that Newcastle loses with more than four goals, along with a villa loss, to maintain some hope for Champions League qualification.
Aston Villa
Villa is currently sixth at 66 points, on the outside of the Champions League spots that look inside. Because of their last day she is looking for a result at Old Trafford.
Their European fate is in the hands of others. A victory only delivers them on Champions League qualification if one of the following happens: losing Male City, losing Newcastle or drawing or losing Chelsea or drawing.
She can still see a draw with a scream – but again, this depends on the fact that Newcastle of Chelsea does not win.
Villa's top five hope would end with a loss for Manchester United. No series of circumstances could see that Villa qualifies when they lose on Sunday – and she could see a forest gain or drawing against Chelsea falling in the seventh.
In a more positive note, a European place is in any case guaranteed for Villa – but a place in the Conference League would be a disappointing end of the season for the men of Emery.
Nottingham Forest
Forest has the smallest chance to qualify for the Champions League, sitting at 65 points in the seventh.
But the side of Nuno Espirito Santo also has an advantage – their fixture against Chelsea, which is in fifth place, means that they can immediately influence one of the teams above them.
Only a victory would not be enough. The men of Espirito Santo have to hope that Aston Villa or Newcastle Drop Points to go to the top five.
A draw or loss on the city would go out every chance of Champions League next season, but a point can still help to secure a top – six place – and Europa League – football – loses as a villa.
Does the eighth place still get European competition?
The FA Cup victory of Crystal Palace makes the opportunities in an extra European place for eighth slim.
But if Chelsea wins their Conference League final against Real Betis on Wednesday and finished seventh, the extra conference competition place would fall in eighth place.
Chelsea would only finish seventh if they lost in Forest, and Aston Villa won or pulled against Man United in their last game.

Brighton has the command over the eighth at 58 points. They are confronted with Europa League winners Tottenham on the last day.
A single point is enough to guarantee eighth place – but whether that means that European competition will only be revealed on Wednesday.
Brentford is the only team in a position – they are confronted with wolves in Molineux on Sunday.
The bees should win and to lose Brighton to maintain European expectations, but their superior target difference means that hope still lives well and really.
