Who can Arsenal sign after Havertz injury adds to forward crisis?

Arsenal got a big blow in their pursuit of Premier League and Champions League Glory after the news Kai Havertz has sustained a considerable hamstring injury.

Mail Sport only revealed on Tuesday evening that the Arsenal star had sustained the worrying hamstring injury -shock during the training trip from Club to Dubai.

And well -placed sources have indicated that the injury will lead to Havertz spending a long period on the sidelines.

The loss of Havertz, the top scorer of Arsenal this season with 15 goals, comes with the Gunners who already miss Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli due to injury.

Havertz's injury will intensify the criticism after Arsenal has not added any attacker to their ranks during the transfer window, which was closed on 3 February.

The Gunners still have the opportunity to add an attacker with only 22 of their 25 available places in their Premier League team.

The side of Mikel Arteta would be able to approach free agents who left their clubs before the end of the January transfer window.

A possible option would be former Chelsea striker Diego Costa, who left the Brazilian side Gremio at the beginning of January.

Costa, now 36, had returned to the Premier League in 2022, but had a failed enchantment with wolves.

Uruguay International Maxi Gomez, former Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz and ex-monaco striker Wissam Ben Yedder are also free agents.

Gomez and Diaz have not played since they left Trabubzonspor and Sevilla last summer.

Ben Yedder is a free agent after leaving Monaco at the end of last season.

The attacker is currently attractive against a two -year -old suspended prison after being found guilty of sexual violence in November.

Lucas Perez, Carlos Vela and Yaya Sanogo represent former Arsenal Forwards De Gunners can consider taking back to the club in a time of need.

Although Arsenal could register a player in their Premier League team, they could not do this for the Champions League.

Arsenal confirmed their team last week for the knockout stages with UEFA after the conclusion of the transfer window.
