‘Who knows?’ – Postecoglou admits Tottenham job unsafe after Leicester loss

Ange Postecoglou accepts that “an honest chunk” of people thinks he deserves to be fired as Tottenham head coach after the home defeat against Leicester City.

Spurs in a row suffered a fourth Premier League loss in a row when Jamie Vardy and Bilal El Khannousten struck after Richarlison opened the score.

The loss of Sunday means that Tottenham is now also winloos in seven top matches, with their longest line since a series of nine in 2008.

Leicester had lost seven consecutive league matches on the way to the match on Postecoglou and only added more pressure on the Australian.

Asked after the game if he thinks he should stay the leadership of Spurs, Postecoglou said: “Who knows? A reasonable piece will say no.”

Postecoglou, however, added that he still feels that he has the support of his players.

“If you are a manager of a football club, you can feel vulnerable and isolated, but I don't feel that.

“The players give everything. I concentrate on that and try to support the players.

“It hurts. It hurts a lot. The players have given everything again. We are going to look at many things, but I can't ask in terms of exercise anymore.”

Tottenham is 15th in the table, only eight points above the relegation zone, after winning one of their last 11 league games.

Postecoglou's silk Liverpool 1-0 on the way to their EFL Cup Semi-final second stage, although a long latter list will quickly clean up.

“It does not come in my consciousness and tries to convince people,” Postecoglou added to his future.

“I have been long enough for people to judge where we are right now, which has not been good enough.

“In the next 10 days we have to get some important players back. We have fantastic opportunities to make an impact – I am sure that will happen.”
