It is official – Pedro Vite is the newest addition to the growing team of Ephraín Juárez. On Friday, Pumas confirmed the signing of the 23-year-old Ecuadorian winger, which marked their third reinforcement for the Apertura 2025 tournament.
After days of intense negotiations, Pumas insured the services of Vite to strengthen their broad attacking options – an area that missed no explosiveness since the departure of César “Chino” Huerta. Vite joins a renewed Pumas side that has already welcomed Aaron Ramsey and Álvaro Angulo.
“Love at first sight”
The club announced the signing with a slick presentation video on social media, officially welcoming Vite as the new No. 45. He is expected to sign a four -year deal, so that he will keep the club until 2029.
“He fell in love with first sight – with the colors, history, grit and the passion of the Pumas believers,” read the caption at the announcement.
“He chose blue and gold with his heart. Young, talented and coming from Babahoyo, Ecuador, the Ecuadorian international arrives in Cantera ready to defend our colors. Welcome, Pedro Vite!”
Who else could become a member of Pumas?
And the reinforcements cannot stop there. Reports suggest that veteran Portuguese keeper Rui Patício comes close to the club after conversations with Keylor Navas had not been released. The experienced Shot stopper would bring leadership and stability to the back line.
Moreover, Pumas is actively striving for a Mexican striker to supplement Guillermo Martínez in advance. The coming days will be crucial when completing both movements, because the club looks forward to completing its selection for a competitive Apertura.
