Why Isak and Newcastle are great value to shoot-down red hot favourites Liverpool – Weekend Wager’s best bets

Sunssport's Weekend Wager is a week ago, with the help of in-depth statistics and shaving sharp analysis to bring you the best value bets from a full weekend of Elite Sport.

Participating in our own Will Pugh for this week's show is football broadcaster Kweku Afari and Betfair gokexpert Sam Rosbottom.

This week the panel gave their opinion on how gamblers can best get the largest Premier League armor of the weekend – Arsenal vs Chelsea.

There is also a good price in the Carabao Cup final between Liverpool and Newcastle as the tone for their first major trophy in 70 years.

The opening weekend of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is also one of our top points of our expert panel.

View all our best bets for the weekend below, in collaboration with Betfair.

Arsenal vs Chelsea

Kweku Afari – Arsenal to win and BTTS – 13/5

When I was younger Arsenal vs Chelsea, that money was for my beloved blues, but it has changed in recent years – hence my bet.

I have Arsenal to win and both teams to score 13-5. Arsenal is struggling in the competition for consistency, but we know how good a team they are.

Chelsea is Winless in their last six road competition matches, but Arsenal is in four home competitions without a clean slate.

Arsenal is also unbeaten in their last six Premier League matches against Chelsea.

So I have both teams to score, but Arsenal to win.

Will Pugh – Nwaneri to score – 9/4

Although heads go to Arsenal, I am still looking forward to scoring them, but destroyed by injuries, they play Mikel Merino in the front – and he even even trained as a striker a few weeks ago.

I therefore say that the only place where their goals will probably come from, Ethan is Nwaneri.

He absolutely loves a shot at goal, but I go Nwaneri to score at 9-4.

This will ever be his last appearance before he turns 18 and no player under 18 has ever scored in a Premier League London Derby, with the only player who does this against Chelsea as James Milner for Leeds in December 2002 Age 16.

But I'm just from Nwaneri – he's made of different things. He is an average of 2.86 shots per 90 minutes in his last five games.

I like to step on the score sheet.

Sam Rosbottom – Cucurella to have 1+ shots – 7/5

I couldn't believe the chances of this. I had to double it and I had to call the traders to make sure this was correct: Marc Cucurella to have one or more shots in the competition.

That is not a shot at the goal, that's just a shot … I think this is a great scream.

He had 11 shots in his last 10 games. He also scored in each of his last two games.

He is a player you want him to go to Chelsea. He is very creative for them at the moment and I can just see him a shot against Arsenal.

Carabao Cup Final – Liverpool vs Newcastle

Kweku Afari – Less than 2.5 goals – 5/4

This is a tasty final and when you mentioned that Liverpool defended their crown that was a dagger through my heart, because they defeated my beloved Chelsea last year.

Five of the last six Carabao Cup finals have scored fewer than three goals.

The two Carabao Cup from Liverpool wins at the time, both of which were against Chelsea, the game ended after 90 minutes.

I go for less than 2.5 goals in this … Cup Finals are pretty boring. They are pretty Cagey.

Will Pugh – Isak to score – 15/8

I'm just going here for a little more adventurous

When Newcastle is going to win with Anthony Gordon and Lewis Hall, I believe that they will trust Big Money Player: Alexander Isak in their big name.

He had a hand in four goals about his five performances against Liverpool – that is three goals and one assist.

So I'm going to score Isak at any time.

Sam Rosbottom – Gakpo to score or help 13/10

I see it is a tight, Cagey game. But what I like in this, looking at the Liverpool player, is Cody Gakpo.

He has definitely been the key for them in this competition. He scored nine goals in 11 performances in the League Cup.

If Liverpool has to do this – which suggests that they will do that – then he will definitely become the key.

It is quite a price to score or to help in this game.

Indian Premier League

Sam Rosbottom

If you like cricket, this is an absolutely fantastic competition. It's pure action. It is pure drama. Expect a lot of large battles and a lot of sixths.

Chennai Super Kings are currently joint favorites at Mumbai Indians … they are the most successful franchises in the competition.

They have won it five times each, so there is always a bit of a battle between the two. However, it was the Kolkata Knight Riders who won it last year.

There are also Sunrisers Hyderabad who played Pat Cummings and Travis Head.

Jos Butler is currently playing for the Gujarat Titans. And Jofra Archer, his Rajasthan Royals are the outsiders – he needs a big tournament if they upset the opportunities.
