Chelsea take on Crystal Palace on Saturday and will be looking to bounce back from a series of bumps in the road with a win at Selhurst Park.
Enzo Maresca's men launched themselves into title contention during the first half of this Premier League season, led by Cole Palmer to second place and only two defeats after 17 games.
However, their form has dipped in recent times, with them suffering back-to-back surprise defeats at home to Fulham and away to Ipswich Town. The Eagles, on the other hand, have been a mixed bag so far this season. They are currently in 15th place but have lost just one of their last eight league matches.
The Blues go into this London affair as favorites and will be keen to right the wrongs of their last two outings, but fans in Britain hoping to tune in will be left disappointed.
Why isn't Crystal Palace vs Chelsea on TV?
With Tottenham vs Newcastle selected for early Saturday at 12.30pm and Arsenal's trip to Brighton selected to be shown at 5.30pm, Chelsea's match against Crystal Palace is one of five scheduled for 3pm.
Therefore, this match cannot be shown on TV as it falls under the Premier League's blackout rule, which prevents a Saturday match from being broadcast live between 2.45pm and 5.15pm.
From season 2025/26 to season 2028/29, Premier League matches can only be seen on Sky Sports and TNT Sport in the United Kingdom. Amazon Prime, which showed twenty games in 2024, will focus on reporting on the Champions League.
However, this blackout will remain in place until at least 2029, thanks to the new TV rights package agreed in December 2023.
How to watch Crystal Palace vs Chelsea?
While those in Britain won't be able to watch live, fans in other countries can do so through their local Premier League providers. Peacock will broadcast the match in the US, while Optus Sport will show the match in Australia.
After the match, Sky Sports – usually about 20 minutes after the final whistle – makes short highlights available that can be viewed via YouTube.
Fans can also tune into Match of the Day, which airs on Saturday at 10.30pm on BBC One, and on BBC iPlayer. Sky Sports will also show another 30 minutes of highlights that evening.
