Why isn’t Liverpool vs Fulham on TV? How to watch Premier League game

Arne Slot's high-flying Liverpool welcome Fulham to the lofty heights of Anfield this afternoon.

Having lost just one Premier League game so far this season – now holding a four-point lead at the top with a game in hand – new boss Slot has fallen out of the trap and is refusing to look back. His stars did not take to the pitch last week after their Merseyside derby against Everton was postponed due to the weather.

That gave the chasing pack a chance to close, albeit perhaps only temporarily, but fellow challengers Arsenal were unable to take full advantage thanks to a strong home performance from the Cottagers, who held them to a 1-1 draw last Sunday.

Now Slot's side can express their gratitude in person, then quickly discard that hand and try to beat Marco Silva's side, who looked like an unpredictable force in mid-table. However, fans in Britain wanting to see how this encounter plays out will be left disappointed.

Why isn't Liverpool vs Fulham on TV?

The Reds' midweek visit to Girona – which resulted in a 1-0 win – has had no influence on this final match, which is scheduled for kick-off on Saturday at 3 p.m.

British football fans may be aware that, under the Premier League's blackout rule, any match played between 2.45pm and 5.15pm on a Saturday cannot be shown as on British TV.

This also means that Arsenal's matches against Merseyside rivals Everton, Newcastle vs Leicester and Wolves vs Ipswich Town will not be broadcast.

Football fans will have a small choice on Saturday when it comes to matches broadcast live on Sky Sports. There will be no early kick-off and Nottingham Forest vs Aston Villa will take the chosen time of 5.30pm.

How to watch Liverpool vs Fulham

Although people in Britain cannot watch the match live, it will be broadcast via local Premier League television rights holders in other countries. Sky Germany, for example, will broadcast the clash.

In the United States, NBCUniversal has the rights to all 380 Premier League matches this season, so fans across the pond can watch.

However, UK fans will have to wait until the highlights are made available by Sky Sports shortly after the match. Alternatively, Match of the Day, which airs on BBC One at 10.30pm, will have extended highlights for fans to enjoy if they're willing to wait.
