Paris Saint-Germain Defender Presnel Kimpembe claimed that a victory of the Champions League is worth more for the French side than any other club.
The Ligue 1 champions, who are now also triple winners, emphatically reached European glory when they beat inter 5-0 in the Allianz Arena on Saturday.
Player of the Douse Doue game scored twice while Achraf Hakimi, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu all came on the score sheet.
The 29-year-old Kimpembe, who was shown in the defeat of PSG against Bayern Munich in the 2020 show piece, spent his entire professional career in the French capital and explained why the victory “moved” him.
Kimpembe told Canal+: “The whole club was waiting for this trophy. It is a huge achievement. We just have to enjoy the moment.
“I am very moved personally. I have fought for years. Winning a Champions League here is worth five elsewhere.”
Kvaratskhelia scored the fourth goal of the game, and his third in the competition this season, a new career high for him in a single edition.
He made the switch to Paris from Napoli in the January transfer window and thought that his decision to become a member of PSG was the right choice.
“It's strange to say that I am a Champions League winner,” Kvaratskhelia told TNT Sports.
“Today it is crazy emotions. I think the whole team made this together. This is a crazy team. I am just happy to be one of them.
“I was very happy, I really wanted to come here. [Now] We see it was the right choice. “
PSG, who played a starting line-up with the Third-Young average age ever in a Champions League final at 25 years and 96 days, became the first team since 1962 to score five goals or more in a Champions League/European Cup final.
