An important factor behind Florian Wirtz's decision to choose a move to Liverpool on Manchester City has been unveiled by a report in Germany.
Wirtz, 22, has become one of the most sought after players in world football in recent months, with Liverpool, City and Bayern Munich all interested in signing the £ 126m Rated star.
City identified Wirtz as their top summer goal and held conversations with his representatives, but it emerged during the weekend that the attacking midfielder instead is a member of Liverpool.
According to Bild, Wirtz chose a move to the city because of concern about the future in the long term of Pep Guardiola.
Guardiola is generally considered the best manager of his generation and Wirtz would have liked to play among him, but the Spaniard has two years left over his city contract.
Earlier this season he signed a new deal to bind his future to the city until 2027, but has since shown that he will leave when his current contract ends to take a break of the game.
With this in mind, Wirtz has decided that he wants to become a member of a club with a more stable management structure.

The report of Bild also states that Wirtz has given the green light to Liverpool because of the unique atmosphere created by fans and the status of the club.
