Wolves boss Vitor Pereira building for the future ahead of clash with Man City and Leonardo Da Vinci-like Pep Guardiola

Vorror Pereira takes the Langer -Female view with wolves prior to the Friday evening football collision from his side with Manchester City.

Wolves are in a rich form of shape with six victories on the bouncing while they travel to the Etihad Stadium – live on Sky Sports – to take on a city side that after an indifferent competition season has a city side to secure the Champions League qualification.

Pereira has only signed a 18 -month contract when he followed Gary O'Neil earlier this year, but the former Boss Fenerbahce and Corinthians insists that he is very planning to plan the future at Wolves.

Despite speculation about potential departure for people like Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri this summer, Pereira is convinced that Wolves can continue to build on their recent progress among him, provided that he can retain the majority of his team.

“We know what we want to achieve. We create our idea. Not only in the short term, but we want to build in the future,” he told Sky Sports News.

“I believe we can compete in this Premier League, which is the best competition in the world.

“Of course, to build something strong, you can't of course lose many players, because if you lose many players, we will start again from the start.

“The identity is there. We know how to play, how to defend, attack, if we want to go quickly or that we have to keep the ball.

“We can [of course] Improve our quality with different movements. We try to place a little more in our dynamics, but we can't lose many players.

“If you lose many players in the next market, it will be a problem because we have to rebuild. We will see what is happening.

“Of course it's normal – we can lose two or three players, but if you lose 10, it's a problem. But I think we know it [this] In the club and they want to build something strong in the future.

“I don't want to play again to prevent relegation, I want to play to have a good team that competes in the middle of the table, competing when we play at home and away and compete with the mind to win.”

Man City seems to be more on its own in recent weeks and has won three on the bouncing without Sterrent Erling Haaland, who will not be ready to return to wolves.

Pereira is looking forward to locking Hoorns with Pep Guardiola, a coach he regards as a pioneer in the spirit of one of the great artists and innovators of history, Leonardo da Vinci.

“To compete for the three points, this is our focus,” said Perierira. “Against a manager who is a world -class top.

“I used to say that he is a Da Vinci in football because he is someone who creates new ideas and he is not afraid to try, try to try and try.

“He is someone looking at the future. He is a special manager.

“Of course they will have more possession than we do. But I believe it is possible to compete and create opportunities to score. Of course we have to defend well.”
