Worrying reason revealed for cancelled UFC Vegas 107 fight that was set to make history

An exciting knockoutist let his UFC debut can be canceled in the short term due to a worrying injury.

UFC Vegas 107 sustained various setbacks on 31 May before Fight Night in the Apex.

Erin Blanchfield and Maycee Barber traded insults after Barber had missed the weight with half a pound for their flying weight main event.

Although that fight is still planned to continue as planned, one matchup fell completely off the card after a replacement opponent was injured.

Andreas Gustafsson was originally set to make history as the first UFC hunter who is wearing a debut patch after the recent partnership of the promotion with TOPPS.

Andreas Gustafsson says that Trevin Giles is getting his head during weight broken for UFC Vegas 107

After earning his place on the Roster last year through the Contender Series of Dana White, Andreas Gustafsson would make his Achthoek debut against Jeremiah Wells at UFC Vegas 107.

Trevin Giles finally replaced Putten in the short term in a matchup that Gustafsson would have made the first hunter to wear a debut patch until debutant Michael ASWELL JR stepped in to see Bolaji Oki Lower on the map.

Unfortunately, Brendan Fitzgerald was announced during the weighting by an injury to Giles.

In a video posted by Gustafsson on his Instagram story, the Swede claimed that his planned opponent had hit his head during his short cancellation.

“As you have all heard, the fight is eliminated. My opponent was withdrawn this morning. Apparently he fell during the weight and got his head. It is crazy. I am ready, I am on weight, I have prepared it and yes, of course it really sucks badly, but we have trusted that they can find a replacement opponent.”

The UFC already seems to have found a new opponent and date for Andreas Gustafsson

Yesterday another cancellation was announced with Albert Tadevosyan who stated on social media that he would not be able to fight against Khaos Williams on UFC 316 on 7 June.

Reports from different sources (Matias Andres & Frontkickonline) now suggest that Williams will remain on the map against the debuting Andreas Gustafsson.

The new matchup is a major test for Gustafsson with Williams with 6-3 during his time in the UFC.

His only losses in the Octagon have come to high -quality opposition in Gabriel Bonfim, Randy Brown and Michel Pereira with knockout victories on people like Alex Morono, Abdul Razak Alhassan and Miguel Baeza.
