Wrexham has received an ambitious approach to sign former Manchester United -midfielder Christian Eriksen.
Wrexham, who recently promoted to the championship, has since been signing two new midfielders this summer, with the latest Lewis O'Brien. Manager Phil Parkinson and his team, however, feel that it is not enough for the Second Division of England, which can be relentless for promoted parties.
Wrexham stays on the market for new talent and the Daily Mail has now reported that the club has approached Eriksen, which Manchester United has left this summer. The representative of Eriksen confirmed Martin Schoots to Mail Sport that the project looks tempting in what could be one of the biggest transfers of the summer.
“Wrexham upgrade really everything both on and outside the field, and it is a hugely impressive project, as you can see from the presence of people such as Michael Williamson there.
“But Christian still wants to play in a first competition and he absolutely wants to stay in Western Europe. There are some contacts going on, but it has to suit both parties.”
The 33-year-old was considered one of the best midfielders in the world at its peak, and Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mcelhenney acknowledge that he would not only bring quality aside, but also much more attention.
However, clubs from Saudi Aarabia, the United States, Turkey and Brazil are also interested in what a race is for the Danish international who has a number of clubs.
