Xabi Alonso faces ’50-50′ Real Madrid striker decision as exit is planned

Xabi Alonso is looking for various Real Madrid players for the end of the La Liga Summer Transfer window.

The Spanish boss has formed a new look defense since his return to Madrid in May with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen and Alvaro Carreras who all come in.

Franco Mastantuono is already in Madrid and he will formally sign for the club when he turns August 18.

Luka Modric, Lucas Vazquez and Jesus Vallejo have already continued with the trio that reaches the end of their contracts in July.

Alonso is still looking to bring in one or two new faces in the coming weeks, but he also wants to discharge players who are not involved in his plans.

The rules of La Liga rules on 25 players that are included is the goal of Alonso and he is confronted with an important call on two attackers with Rodrygo is tipped to stay after Premier League interest in the Brazilian faded.

Reports from Marca claim that no player has asked to leave Real Madrid, despite the fact that Alonso is already describing who will be in his starting team, but that can change if he decides to keep Gonzalo Garcia or Endrick Felipe.

Garcia exploded in Real Madrid's Run to the FIFA Club World Cup Semi finals with four goals scored in the absence of Kylian Mbappe.

Endrick Felipe struggled regular minutes in his debut 2024/25 season, but still managed seven goals in all competitions, and Brazilian boss Carlo Ancelotti is in favor of a loan output to keep his world cup opportunities on the right track.

According to Diario As, Alonso regards both players as important future options, but this season only wants to retain one as the most important backup of Mbappe.

A third choice role can be harmful to their development, but neither wants to leave, which means that Alonso has to make a 50-50 call.
