Yair Rodriguez reveals what ‘bothers’ him about Diego Lopes’s potential title win at UFC 314

Former interim -ufc featherweight champion Yair Rodriguez is not happy with Diego Lopes who provide support from two countries.

Yair Rodriguez and Diego Lopes are two of the most dangerous featherweights on the UFC schedule, because both hunters share a map on UFC 314 this Saturday. Rodriguez welcomes UFC -Debutant Patricio 'Pitbull' in the octagon, while Lopes Zalski Vechten in the first UFC for the first UFC for the first UFC Featherweight title.

Rodriguez and Lopes have a few things in common during their rises to UFC star. Both hunters celebrate the Mexican heritage and culture, while Lopes trains in Guadalajara while Rodriguez is training in the United States.

Lopes, born in Brazil, is considered one of the greatest stars in Mexico, even though he is a native Brazilian. Rodriguez is intensely bothered by this and believes that Lopes creates a false story.

Rodriguez's turnout to interim title holder, with many knockouts with highlights and big moments, came with the Mexican flag on his back. Since its UFC debut in 2014, Rodriguez is one of the best Mexican talents of the UFC and a big reason for the continuous growth of MMA in Mexico and the new Performance Institute in the country.

After the blood, sweat and tears rodriguez radiated to Mexico during his fighting career, he is frustrated that Lopes is considered a Mexican UFC star.

During his UFC 314 Media Day conference, Rodriguez explained why Lopes' connection with Mexican culture rubs him in the wrong way.

“Yes, I have a problem with that, not with Diego,” said Rodriguez. “He just does his job with what he is doing now, but my problem is, what's going on with people? I understand that he is great, he is exciting, and you know he is doing his job, but I just don't agree. I will never be the case and will not be the case. If he does it, if people want to see him as Mexican, I have no problem with that.

“I have killed myself before my country for years. If they decide to go with him, the moment must fight each other or face each other, that is up to them. I have done all the things to represent my country.

“I blew for my country, I cried around my country, I cuddled the flag. I can't be more proud to be Mexican.” (H/T MMA Junkie)

At present, Lopes did not respond to Rodriguez's comments. The two featherweights would fight earlier this year, but a matchup did not flourish.

In the structure of UFC 314, Lopes enjoys the fighting week and the fruits of his work in the camp. Lopes enjoyed what pizza with his team just a few days from UFC 314, which encouraged a strong response from fans on social media.

The questionable dietary habits of Lopes before UFC 314 can indicate the highest confidence prior to the Volkanovski -Matchup. He has plenty of reasons to feel like this, especially after recent victories over Brian Ortega and then Ige.

The UFC career of Lopes started with the almost handing over of Movsar Evloev's first defeat at UFC 288 in a daily promotional debut. Lopes can possibly decrease with EVLOEV after UFC 314, while he is hod in the pre-Fight structure.
