Barcelona's Teenage Sensation Lamine Yamal has declared his team the favorites to win the Champions League.
Barcelona drove past Benfica in the round of 16 with a 4-1 aggregated victory and will be confronted with Borussia Dortmund, who passes a difficult domestic season, in the quarterfinals.
Seventeen -year -old Yamal has a brilliant season, scored 13 goals and laid on 14 assists in all competitions for Barcelona, which led him to be called again by the Spain National Team for the international break.
It is clear that he has no confidence, based on his recent comments.
“We are the favorites for the Champions League,” he told Spanish newspaper sport.
“When the group stage ended, I said Liverpool were the favorites because they were the first, and now they have fallen, it is us.
“We are a different team than last year, when we lost to PSG.”
Since that 6-4 total defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in the quarterfinals of the Champions League 2023-24, Yamal has won the European championship with Spain.
Back in the Spain team here he faces the Netherlands in the quarterfinals of the two-legged Nations League.
