‘You look stupid’… Dana White didn’t hold back after being unimpressed by UFC Baku star’s 2020 win

The style of one UFC Baku -hunter has not always made an impression on UFC CEO Dana White.

The promotion of White will be in a new country this Saturday evening, as the latest UFC Fight Night takes place in Azerbaijan.

The head of the debut event in the capital of the Baku country will be a light heavyweight collision between Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree Jr.

A number of other remarkable names have made the journey to compete, including a top five heavyweight competition who has not always seen an eye to the UFC higher ups.

Dana White lay in Curtis Blaydes after Grappling-Heavy UFC Main Event

Before the important headliner fights for Rafael Fiziev in the Co-Main event on 205 pounds and birth city, Curtis Blaydes will want to restore its heavyweight title ambitions.

'Razor' has lost two of his last three, most recently in competition to interim gold. Blaydes was eliminated last year by Tom Aspinall in one round at UFC 304.

With that result in mind, Blaydes has to make a statement against newcomer Rizvan Kuniev in Baku. In that respect, he might do well to avoid the implementation that his hand saw in June 2020 lifted.

Blaydes defeated Alexander Volkov in the headliner of UFC Vegas 3, but the way of his victory-a dominant five-round wrestling change-left white than satisfied.

“Curtis Blaydes has the wrong attitude as far as I'm concerned,” said White during his press conference after the fight.

“I have nothing against the child at all … (but) if you talk when he talked this week, you'd better come in and you grab someone's ass when you talk like that.

“If you talk about the SH-T that he spoke and performed as he performed tonight, you look stupid,” White added.

Curtis Blaydes did not care about the 'disrespectful' criticism of Dana White

Based on his reaction, however, Blaydes will probably not be put off by replicating those performance in the Octagon.

Speaking with Ariel Helwani for ESPN after his victory over 'Drago', Blaydes closed white for the way he talks about his hunters.

“You should not be disrespectful about how the victory happened. That's one thing I don't understand,” said Blaydes.

'Why do you bash your hunters who are actually legitimate, who can be future champions? You can hate me. You can hate my wrestling. You cannot deny that I am on my way to becoming a champion.

“Why bashen me? I don't understand that,” Blaydes added.

Since then, Blaydes has undoubtedly impressed the UFC boss, after he had collected performance bonuses for his knockout victories over Chris Dauus and Jilton Almeida.

He will now want to do the same in a risky Baku matchup against a debuting hunter who is largely unknown to the MMA Massa.
