Enzo Maresca is safe as Chelsea Boss – for now.
The Italian head coach of the club retains the confidence of the club's board despite a worrying decline in shape.
The gloomy 2-2 draw from Sunday against the wrestling Ipswich leaves them sixth place in the Premier League and from the Champions League for next season.
The entire Chelsea game plan is all about returning to the money -spinning European competition as quickly as possible.
The Maresca team was removed during the break and needed its own goal and one of On-Loan Jadon Sancho to take a point against relegation-related city.
But the dedication of Maresca to his work and the unleashed of dedication to the case means that the Stamford bridge -top brass remains convinced that he is still the right man for the job.
He has been in charge less than a season since he left Leicester City after he has won the title of last season.
Maresca, 45, is the fourth permanent manager who, under the ownership of Chelsea, has taken over since they took over less than three years ago.
Yet there is no desire for a different change of coach, although the results have taken a tumbling.
A blues insider said to Sunsport: “Everyone at the club is completely on board and is committed to get us back in the Champions League.
“Enzo, the board and the sporting directors are my ideal married.
“If it doesn't happen this season, questions are asked naturally. But as it comes out, Enzo is still seen as the man to help Chelsea move forward.”
Chelsea has signed their last two Premier League matches that dropped four points.
They are a point outside the top five that would qualify them for the Champions League after the absence of two season.
There are only six games left to make lost ground, although they play Newcastle and Nottingham Forest during the Run-in direct rivals.
It is a tough challenge and winger Sancho has called for unity in the final weeks of a Topsy Turvy campaign, although Chelsea has a tough journey to Buren Fulham on Sunday.
Sancho said: “We really want that Champions League place.
“It's not over yet, we still have six games to go. From now on every game will have to be a final, so we need everyone with 100 percent.
“We have heavy games ahead, but if we stay together, I am sure we can get what we need from them.”
Maresca complained that the 'environment' at Stamford Bridge does not help its players in their search to come back between Europe's Elite clubs.
The demanding fans of Chelsea are restless and are not happy that although the team is against it in its own country, they are flying in the UEFA Conference League this season.
Maresca said: “We are stronger with our fans. We are a better team and it is up to them to decide the way to be.”
