More Man Utd disruption as club director steps away from Old Trafford role and accepts new job

Manchester United director Jean-Claude Blanc has taken his position at Old Trafford.

Blanc came to the United Board last year when Sir Jim Ratcliffe bought a 25 percent interest in the club.

After he had already held the title of CEO of Ineos Sport, he was appointed director and represented the Red Devils at the European Clubs' Association and Premier League meetings.

However, the 62-year-old has now left the position to play a different role within Man Utd.

A statement from the club was: “Jean-Claude Blanc has been taken from his position as director of Manchester United Football Club.

“However, he will continue to play an active role in the management of the club in his new position as head of international football relationships and special adviser to the board.”

The new role of Blanc will continue to represent him internationally, also in relationships with UEFA and FIFA.

He is enormously experienced in European football circles that have previously worked for Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.

The United Chief was also in the Olympic organizational committee in the 1980s and 90s.

Moreover, he was previously the CEO of the French tennis club and he charges the organization of the French Open.

He came to Juventus as chairman of the board of directors in 2009, but resigned after only seven months.

Blanc was also the marketing manager of PSG.

United officials work desperately behind the scenes to improve the first team team on the field.

The Red Devils are currently 14th in the Premier League table and undergo their worst premium season ever.
