At 24 minutes, Henderson used the ball outside his box and pounds him away from Erling Haland while the man City tried to race on a pass.
Referee Stuart Attwell and his assistant referees seemed to think that the incident took place in the penalty area when they made the game possible.
When the ball came out of the game later, the game was paused for a VAR check for a possible red card for Henderson for refusing a clear chance of goal.
This indicated that the VAR officials believed that Henderson had committed a handball attack. However, they ruled that, because the ball left the goal, Haaland had no clear goals.
The game continued, with Henderson not punished for the incident, and the goalkeeper then made a series of rescues, including one to keep Omar Marmoush's fine out in the first half.
Stadsbaas Pep Guardiola did not want to discuss the incident afterwards and just say, “I am not the referee.”
Glasner admitted that he was worried about what the VAR would decide. “I thought:” Why don't you make the ball? “He said.” And then I had crossed my fingers that the VAR would not even intervene. “

Similar views were expressed by former England captain Wayne Rooney on BBC, who said: “It's a red card – how can they be wrong? Get rid of VAR.
“They have made a mistake and now they try to hide. It is a red card and everyone can see that it is a red card.”
