The Superleague is alive and well according to Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, despite there being no sign of it being played anytime soon, three years after it was announced. The organizing company, A22, focuses its efforts on bringing together one important aspect.
The main attraction of their presentation at the end of 2023, given by CEO Bernd Reichart, was free football. The Superleague promised that fans around the world would be able to download an application and watch the Superleague for free, with a paid option to remove ads. According to Relevo, working on the Unify platform, where fans would stream the games, is now their main focus.

They praised FIFA after football's governing body announced that the Club World Cup would be available for free for the summer of 2025 in partnership with broadcaster DAZN.
FIFA has reportedly struggled to put together the television deal they were seeking, with total revenue from the competition expected to be slightly lower than the expected €2 billion. This will have consequences for the clubs, who will also receive much less money than expected.
