UFC Vederweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski was fired for Jack della Maddalena after UFC 315.
Jack della Maddalena initiated a new UFC -Welterwet -era by beating Belal Muhammad on UFC 315. Weeks before Alexander Volkanovski recaptured the UFC -Fedweight title and held a sharp eye on the show of his fellow clouds in the UFC 315 headliner.
Maddalena added to an 18-Fecht winning series with a unanimous decision victory on Muhammad to claim the UFC-Welterweight title on Saturday evening in Montreal. Alum of the Contender Series of Dana White has added another championship to the list of the previous winners of the show and joined the ranks of Sean O'Malley and Jamahal Hill.
While Maddalena supplied the performance of his life to UFC 315, Volkanovski stood on the edge of his chair and looked at the action.

Maddalena used his elite boxing and solid Takedown defense to frustrate Muhammad from start to finish. But Muhammad showed impressive grit and toughness, overcoming a lip injury in the middle of the fight to go the full distance and bring Maddalena into a late round problems.
Tonight, Van Maddalena, who dethroned the UFC Welterweight champion after a long -term break that came from a victory over Gilbert Burns at UFC 299. He remains unbeaten in his UFC office period and added to a great year for Australian UFC hunters.

In the meantime, Maddalena still has a major challenge on the horizon, while mentally and physically preparing for his first welterweight, defending defense.

From UFC Lichtweight Champion Islam Makhachev is expected to raise to Welterweight, as he was announced in a tweet after the fight after UFC 315. But as Makhachev noted on Friday, he will not pass the UFC Lightweight title, the door opens to a potential interim-light weight title bolt in UFC 317.
Makhachev did not last long to respond to the performance of Maddalena and told the newly crowned welterweight champion to 'keep the belt warm' while he prepares to challenge the title. Makhachev wants to earn a performance that UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov did not: a UFC champion with two division.
Makhachev recently defended the UFC light weight title on UFC 311 against Renato Moicano through the first round. The Pond-Voor-Pond Koning of the UFC has not lost since 2015, the only defeat of his professional MMA career.
A Muhammad victory on UFC 315 would probably have postponed the good weight of Makhachev, because the two are good friends and teammates. Nurmagomedov also said that his 'heart did not feel good' in Mohammed and Makhachev who fought each other in the run -up to UFC 315.
Now that Maddalena has the UFC -Welterweight title, the move from Makhachev to 170 pounds is almost confirmed, just like a probably interim light weight booking between Topuria and another top candidate.
