Alexander Volkanovski wrote UFC history on Saturday evening at UFC 314 and became the first hunter on 155 pounds or lower to win a UFC title at 35 years or older.
Fans of Alexander Volkanovski were understandably nervous and came to Diego Lopes in his UFC 314 title fight, given his back-to-back KO losses at Islam Makhakev and Ilia Topuria.
Nevertheless, Volkanovski then started a vintage performance, he had recovered his featherweight title and joined an exclusive group with hunters such as Georges St-Pierre and others.
The 36-year-old had to overcome the adversity during the collision, and late in the fight, he lost his view at one eye after Lopes had delivered a huge shot.

Alexander Volkanovski offers a surprising response after re -viewing fights
A few days away from his emotional victory, Volkanovski has reviewed his fight and revealed what he was surprisingly happiest about his performance.
“I am quite happy that I was still able to be hit, if I went outside and was not touched and my chin did not test, you just get a lot more out, good, as if that was a praise for it,” said Volkanovski in a video on his YouTube channel.
“And even myself, I went inside like:” Am I back to light as soon as I get touched? ” And that was not the case, so it was good to wage a war and go into a little setback.
“I think many people wanted to know that they are going in:” How is he going to do it? Is his chin going up? Is he going old? ” I think I answered a few questions and that I grew up the opportunity, “he went on.
Despite the fact that the performance of Volkanovski were vintage and he showed why he is one of the pound-for-pound best hunters in the world, he somewhat criticized his performance.
“I think I was a little harder for myself,” Volkanovski explained about his attitude after the fight.
“I am my most difficult critic, I just know that I could have done better there. Looking at the band, I think I was hard for myself, but I still know I could have done it better,” he said.
Volkanovski sends Diego Lopes a message after their war
A few hours after his loss for Volkanovski, Lopes went to social media to break his silence in an emotional post.
However, people have tried to lift the spirits of the Brazilian by telling him how big he did in the fight, with people still removed days away.
“I will feel that he is in pain, the Lopes pain for a few weeks, he is a good guy, he probably doesn't want me to be in pain, but if it feels better, you look, you have great,” people said.
Despite the pain that the Australian feels at the moment, he hopes to return to action surprisingly enough as soon as July to hire the next competition, Movsar Evloev.
