Arne Slot wanted to sign an in-depth midfield player for his first season as head coach of Liverpool, but the club rejected the chance to buy a Manchester United goal

There was no interest in striving for 'panic purchases' and as such ugarte stayed in Paris until Manchester United later closed a deal with the French champions in the window.
Ugarte moved to Old Trafford for a Deal worth £ 42 million and has passed a mixed first season in the Premier League, with United struggling poorly under Erik ten Hag and his successor, Ruben Amorim.
