Arsenal has opened conversations with Leandro Trossard about a new contract that will reach until 2029.
The 30-year-old, who came to the Gunners from Brighton in January 2023 for £ 27 million, is an important part of the Mikel Arteta team.
This season Trossard has made 26 starts of 35 Premier League matches and offers eight goals and six assists.
In the current contract of the Belgian, which will expire next summer, there is an extension clause from one year to 2027.
But Mail Sport understands that the new deal on the Table Trossard would hold in the Noord -London club until 2029.
Last September, Arsenal rejected an offer from Al Itihad from the Saudi Pro League for Trossard, and clubs in the competition are supposed to chase him again this summer.
The development occurs on a summer in which Arsenal is looking for a striker and left wing player.
For Trossard it is a major coup – he would be 34 by the time the new deal would expire.
It is understood that his high levels of fitness in terms of lifespan was a contributing factor to a long -term proposed deal of Arsenal, which is not the norm for players older than 30.
