Arsenal outcast could hand Liverpool title as Glasner admits he’s ‘sad’ for him

Arsenal is opposed to Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening in a crucial game with which Liverpool Premier League champions will be called if the Eagles win a victory at the Emirates -and ex -Gunner Eddie Nketiah will hope to start his old side

Crystal Palace -Baas Oliver Glasner has admitted that he feels “sad” for striker Eddie Nketiah after his difficult season in Selhurst Park, but hinted that he could start against the old club Arsenal in a match that Eagles could end the title bid of the Gunners. Nketiah came from his boy's club at Palace last summer for about £ 30 million, but has trouble influencing games.

The 25-year-old has only managed one goal in the Premier League, with five in all competitions. To his honor, he has only received seven Starts from Glasner in the competition and he clearly had trouble with an impact from the bank.

Glasner said he had sympathy for Nketiah after he had seen his enormous work ethics did not produce results and admitted that he had taken him into action during difficult moments – including the 5-0 loss to Newcastle.

In the previous match against Brighton, Nketiah was immersed in the 68th minute, but took two yellow cards in 10 minutes in another setback.

“It is not time to summarize Eddie's season, but he is so hardworking,” said Glasner. “Sometimes I feel a bit sad for him, personally, when I see all his trouble.

“For example, Newcastle, he comes up when we are 5-0 lower. It is the worst situation you can have as a player. I once had this in my career and I didn't really like it. He had two or three chances. At the end he could score and then he slipped out.

“It seems that things sometimes don't go well for him. But I spoke to him afterwards because I see him working every day. And there will come a day that he is being paid for all his efforts. Personally it feels that they have not come so far.”

Glasner teased a possible start for Nketiah against his former club on Wednesday, where he could come back to chase Mikel Arteta by scoring against them. Nketiah has already noticed this season against his old side -in a 3-2 Carabao Cup defeat in December.

If Arsenal loses the match at the Emirates, Liverpool is confirmed as Premier League champions. “We still have a number of great games to play, and perhaps on this day when he gets the payback time for all his efforts will come soon,” the German continued.

“I expect both teams to enter the field that the game wants to win. We expect them to play with their strongest team; they have six days [in between Wednesday and] Their semi-final of the Champions League. We will also play with the best available team tomorrow. “

Nketiah joined the youth arrangement of Arsenal in 2015 and played 168 times for the Gunners and scored 38 times.
