YouTuber-Boxer KSI's manager Mams Taylor claims that Conor McGregor has rejected a fight between the couple.
As far as Taylor, who runs outdoor boxing next to KSI, it was worried that there was a 'done deal' between McGregor and Boks Supremo Turki Alalshikh for a crossover match. The event would take place on Alcatraz Island, but at the last minute the Irishman would be withdrawn.
The claim is supported by a statement that McGregor made earlier this year, where he admitted that he rejected an offer to fight on Alcatraz. KSI would face his teammate Dillon Danis in March, but withdrew due to an alleged disease.
Conor McGregor reportedly rejected 'Done Deal' -KSI fight
In a new episode of Misfits News, promoter Mams Taylor spoke about a variety of major problems in the Crossover -Bokswereld. A subject that was discussed was the subject of KSI's return to the ring, where he called the possibility of a Conor McGregor fight that did not come true.
“The Conor McGregor One, we thought it was a foreguined deal and we were told that it was a foregone conclusion,” Taylor told hosts Ben Davis and Biel. He noted that it should be in Alcatraz and that the deal was closed via Turki Alenhikh.
“I don't know exactly because I wasn't part of the negotiations with Conor,” he answered when he was asked why it came through. “But I think Conor recently made a statement about it and referred to it, so go back to that.
“He wants to become a politician and who knows? I think that's a very exciting fight, I think it's a great fight, it would be huge. That has made KSI more excited than I have ever seen and I saw him through ups, Downs, all kinds of crazy things that we have experienced together.
“The excitement level in which that would happen was high, he was like a small child and it was so nice to see. I told him that day when we spoke, although everyone says it is a foregone conclusion, just choose it because it is Conor McGregor, we don't know, this is a new situation for us, let's wait.”
“His excellence is a person who can make that fight happen and hopefully he will do that. I don't think there are much bigger fights than that on the planet in terms of viewers, pay-per-views, how you want to do it, it's just a huge, solid mega fight.”
Conor McGregor claimed that he refused the comeback fight in Alcatraz
The statement to which Taylor refers to a BKFC press conference last month when McGregor opened the potential of a fighting comeback. He is currently focused on his campaign to become President of Ireland and noted that he has rejected a fight offer for Alcatraz.
“There was an opportunity or a deal, will we say, to fight only recently in Alcatraz,” McGregor explained. “There is an event going on in Alcatraz, I believe, June. They came to me and it was not my value.

“As a hunter we got to know our value. I keep every pay-per-view record in the book, I keep every gate record in the book and my comeback will be planned as the biggest or the largest, most expected comeback of all time.
“So it must be good. At the moment Ireland is in my mind and that is where I am, but it will happen, I know for sure and it is always great to be here at BKFC.”
