Dana White answers Jack Della Maddalena’s question about first title defense during phone call following UFC 315

Jack della Maddalena already has an idea in mind for his first welterweight title defense, and Dana White is apparently on board.

On Saturday at UFC 315, Jack della Maddalena brought the short reign of Belal Muhammad as the UFC champion Welterweight after a five round war saw a new champion crowned.

Della Maddalena, immediately after his title winning performance, sent a revenge message to the UFC Lightweight Champion, Islam Makhachev, who waited in the wings for the result of the title fight.

Makhachev immediately responded with a challenging message that the Australian asked to keep his belt clean with the two who probably bump afterwards.

“Islam Makhachev next, right? In Perth?” Della Maddalena asked Wituit White during their conversation.

“We will find this out,” White replied.

“Let's go, toast Dana, thanks Hunter (Campbell), I'll talk to you soon,” replied the newly crowned champion.

“Okay, you see!” Wit said.

“Thanks for everything, I really appreciate it,” said Hunter Campbell, probably referring to Della Maddalena who accepted the chance of short -term after he had been taken out of his planned fight against Leon Edwards.

“I'll check you on Monday,” Hunter continued.

“Saved (the Welterweight Division), Aye!” Della Maddalena said brutally at the end.

“Della, well done my husband, that's an incredible victory. Huge victory against a tough, well-rounded opponent in Belal. Incredible, two belts to Australia,” Volkanovski responded in a video on his YouTube channel.

It is unclear when the UFC focuses on Della Maddalena vs Makhachev, but both Della Maddalena and Volkanovski are hopeful that the promotion will bring the spectacle back to Perth.
