Fabian Edwards understands the severity of his first PFL -Tournooigebecht after the tumultuous year that his family has undergone.
Since March last year, when he defeated Aaron Jeffery, Fabian and his brother Leon Edwards went 3-0 in their trips under the PFL and UFC banners.
The older brother or sister lost his welterweight world title to Belal Muhammad on UFC 304 before Fabian's second attempt against Bellator was not successful in Saudi -Arabia. Then Leon was put in the UFC Event in the UFC for the first time in the UFC -London Main Event when Sean Brady submitted him.

Now Fabian Edwards has the chance to land one of the biggest scores on his record by 2023 PFL champion Impa Kasanganay. And he understands that his family's famous fight name is at stake after a difficult year of action before he and his brother.

“Absolutely,” he answered Bloody Elbow if he was fighting for the dynasty. “Someone as Impa, it's a shame he is because he seems like a nice boy. But I'm going to touch him with every part of my body, every limb I have, will make contact with him.
“I'm going to show that we are still there, we are still two of the best brothers in the world. We have to show it … It is all built up and it has to come out somewhere, I can't wait to just go outside and be free, just do what I know I can do.”

In 2019, one of the most popular arguments in the British MMA Fabian Edwards and Mike Shipman saw the distance with their Bellator meeting. Edwards won a razor-close and fairly controversial split decision, with many who feel that the rivalry was never really Settl.
If fate allows, they can be for a Rematch Statesside this summer, where Shipman accepts the finalist Josh Silveira 2023. The American is also looking for a Rematch and has lost twice to Impa Kasanganay in the past two seasons.
“It would be funny, imagine that,” laughed Edwards. “F— I will take it out. That would be a good matchup, but I will destroy it now. That was a nice structure, I was young and a little more wild then.
“I don't know what it would be like nowadays because I am older now. But then I would have got it outside the cage. It was probably f – all, nothing real, but that was exactly how it was!”
