Trent Alexander-Arnold was the hero for Liverpool after he came from the bank to score in their 1-0 victory in Leicester, but his uncertain future in the club remains firmly in the spotlight
It was another weekend of drama in the Premier League, while the season starts to reach its climax. Liverpool came one step closer to winning the title thanks to the super-sub-appearance of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
His goal gave the Reds a huge 1-0 win to Leicester, who had a much worse afternoon on Sunday. The foxes saw their relegation confirmed after Wolves had secured safety a few hours earlier.
The men of Vorror Pereira achieved a 1-0 win against Manchester United, who suffered their 15th league defeat of the season. Ruben Amorim called a much changed XI because his priority continues to win the Europa League.
Arsenal had no dismissal after he had beaten Real Madrid holders out of the Champions League in the midweek. The Gunners ran to a 4-0 victory on the road against Ipswich to further dent the weak hope of the tractor boys on survival.
Here is an overview of the largest football stories on Sunday.
Carragher is insisting on benching Alexander-Arnold
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has told Arne Slot to bench Trent Alexander-Arnold, even though he won the game for the Reds against Leicester. Carragher thinks that Slot would be better off to give more minutes to Conor Bradley in the last five league matches of Liverpool, with Alexander-Arnold who joins Real Madrid with a free transfer this summer.
On Sky Sports Carragher said: “That boy needs as much experience as he can get possible. Yes, bring him [Trent] As you did today if you have to win the game, maybe against Spurs or a few weeks later. But in terms of starting games at the moment, if Trent has not committed to the club – which he clearly did not do – Conor Bradley should start every match. “

Arteta gives Saka update after 'Dangerous' Tackle
Mikel Arteta admits that he was worried when Bukayo Saka went down after a 'dangerous' tackle of Leif Davis from Ipswich – but says that it is 'nothing too serious' for the Arsenal star. With the Gunners 2-0 up, Davis Saka caught the Achilles and he went in pain before the Ipswich defender received a straight red card.
“He was painful, but it's nothing serious, so that's positive,” Arteta revealed after the game. “The referee has made a decision that it is clear. I have not seen the slow-motion repetition, I have just seen the normal pace image and yes, he cuts it from behind. I don't think it is intentional, but it is dangerous because he cannot really respond to anything and you can't see him coming.”
