Huge Manchester United U-turn may see summer transfer plans ripped up

Van Ruben Amorim is expected to start a massive overhaul of the Manchester United Squad in the aftermath of their poor Premier League campaign – but one star could stay now

Ruben Amorim is about to give Casemiro a remarkable postponement, who has found a new life in recent months and could now stay in Manchester United after this summer.

The experienced midfielder, 33, has struggled for shape since he made an impression in his first season in Old Trafford and his displays – in combination with his lucrative contract that is reportedly worth £ 375,000 a week – has seen him connected with an exit throughout the season. But he has rediscovered his best form in recent weeks and has been called in a few crucial competitions in the Run from United to the Europa League final.

Now the revival of the Brazil International seems to be getting up to convince Amorim to keep him and united to save all the plans they had to replace in the coming transfer window.

In recent weeks, Amorim has worked closely with Casemiro on the Carrington training base of the club and is impressed that the former Star of Real Madrid 'plays a major role' in the plans of the club to rebuild.

An issue that also encourages every transfer is that he could get a massive wage increase if Amorim's team holds the Europa League title. The former Real Madrid star has a clause in his contract that guarantees him a substantial wage increase of 25 percent if the Red Devils secure their place in the Champions League.

If United Triumph in the Europa League final in Bilbao on 21 May, this would mean an amazing £ 100,000 a week boost for Casemiro, which means that his weekly income pushes up to no less than £ 500,000.

That, added to the fact that he is more than in Manchester, means that the Brazilian does not want to leave. As such, a lucrative switch to the Saudi Pro League is now off the table for Casemiro, who could now find out his career in the Premier League.

United is expected to be active on the transfer market and reinforcements in midfield would be required if they have decided to load Casemiro, which came to the club in the summer of 2022.
