Fabian Hurzeler insisted that he “doesn't think Europe”, despite the fact that Brighton stimulated their continental ambitions with a 2-0 win at Wolves.
The seagulls only claimed their second victory in nine games in all games, because goals by Danny Welbeck and Brajan Gruda all sealed the points in Molineux.
Hurzeler's side climbed to ninth place in the Premier League, level at points with Brentford in the eighth, with two more games.
Brighton is in the fight to achieve a return to Europe next season, but the most important focus of Hurzeler is on tackling Liverpool champions at the Amex Stadium in nine days.
“I am not thinking of Europe. I think of how we can win the next game,” he told BBC Match of the day.
“[I am] Very happy that the players showed this performance. They adhered to the plan and defended pretty well.
“[In the] Second half we defended pretty well. In possession we could do better, but I was happy to have the chance to score the second goal. “

Welbeck broke the impasse of the penalty place to take his Premier League objective for the season for the first time.
“It's a good milestone to have, and I feel it could have been more,” said the attacker Premier League Productions. 'I'm looking forward to improving. We have two more games left and hopefully I get a little more [goals].
“I think we were against a good side, and they are in good shape. We knew that we would be standing against a tough opponent. We had a game plan and we played it well.”
In the meantime, they are back-to-back defeats for Wolves after their club decrun of six consecutive Premier League victories.
The hosts enjoyed 55.6% of the possession, but only registered three shots on goal with an XG of 0.91, and Vitor Pereira had no complaints about leaving Molineux with empty hands.
“[In] The first half, we competed, “he said.” We created some chances to end, but missing the last shot, the last pass.
“The second half, in my opinion, we can do better. We tried to turn the result. We missed an organization – the game started to become unpredictable and very open.
“We played a lot with heart in the second half, but without the intelligence to control the pace. In the end they punished us and deserve it to win.”
