I tried Harry Kane’s knobbly sticks as England star takes on Gary Lineker with his own snack brand – here’s my verdict

Do you have to put Harry Kane's lumpy stick in your mouth?

Then King van Sunsport, who knows even more about savory treats than football, puts Kane's late increase in the fresh market for the taste test.

And although the captain of England Gary Lineker has surpassed the goal of the Drie Lions, he will not beat the crispy competition of the day presenter in the Aisles of the supermarket.

If you are looking for a taste experience that is as powerful as Kane stands for the goal, you will be disappointed.

But the line of the Bayern Munich striker of “healthy” snacks is completely pleasant and will not scare the children, just like the man himself.

A rush of salt

The light yellow color is neither seductive nor repellent, and the same can be said of the taste. It does what is on the package: a little bit of salt, not too much (although the nutritional information shows that this is the most salty of the three varieties). It's fine.

I would probably want to immerse it in a kind of dip, but that would beat the object of choosing something that is said to be good for you – or at least less bad than other snacks.

Salt and vinegar

Another puns that even Lineker may reject, but my favorite of the party. You must be willing to overlook their appearance. They are terribly beige, but without the promise of the pure dirt supplied with a similarly colored pork.

I know my Salt'n'vinegar. Although this does not result in the king of the king of all versions – McCoys, focused for your pleasure – there is a decent tongs of moutazine.

Strikin 'Hot

Let's be honest here: fried nodulous sticks are in fact nik naks with a different name. So you immediately put them against the Supreme NN Variety, Nice 'n' Spicy. And just like Kane's old club Tottenham, these are really a distant second best.

Again, the taste is fine, but there is just not enough. If you tell me that there will be something hot, I really want to feel that heat. A little herbs lingers in the aftertaste, but not enough to get excited.

General judgment

If you are a parent looking for something to keep your children still, without filling them full of salt and fat, this can work (as long as you look at the portion size).

Children often do not like strong flavors and the football connection can convince them to overlook a disappointment in that aspect.

But if you are planning a spread weekend of a holiday in the sun, there are tastier and cheaper ways to hit the back of the net.

Despite what Kane says on the back of the packages, they are not “incredibly delicious”. £ 2 per bag pay? That would be crazy.
