One of the most important title fights in the recent memory takes place on UFC 315.
UFC 315 is going from Montreal this Saturday, Canada with the world's best good weights that are central. Champion Belal Muhammad is planned to defend his title against Jack della Maddalena, the #5-ranged competition in the Main Event Five-Round.
Not only will Muhammad vs. Della Maddalena determine the future of the Welterweight department, but also the weight class below: lightweight.
Former UFC champion and lightweight title hopful Ilia Topuria and CEO Dana White both confirmed that the UFC 315-headliner would determine the following fight of the lightweight champion Islam Makhacheve, whether it is now to defend Della Maddalena in Muhammad-Riem.
Whatever happens, Makhachev seems to be on the same page with the UFC buyer after a meeting with UFC Chief Business Officer Hunter Campbell.

Islam Makhachev says he will not leave the title, regardless of the UFC 315 outcome
Despite a lot of fanfare around a lightweight superfight between him and the oncoming Topuria, Makhachev patiently waited for Muhammad's next fight to decide whether he goes for a second belt or not.
With a potential future on 170 pounds and Makhachev, it is not yet willing to leave his lightweight belt behind.
“This main event on Saturday will determine what my next step is,” wrote Makhachev on X on Friday.
'But regardless of the outcome [of] That fight, I'm not going to leave my lightweight title! “Makhachev added.
“We can get a real competition there!”

Speaking of contenders, there are quite a bit of waiting for him in the lightweight division …
In the meantime, Ilia Topuria was able to fight for interim light weight gold
If Jack della Maddalena this weekend Belang Muhammad Dethrones Dethrones, lightweight could have a logjam.
Former UFC Vederweight Champion Ilia Topuria says that the UFC promised him an immediate title shot when he decided to go up a weight class, insistently that he will only fight for the belt.
Topuria recently mentioned Charles Oliveira as someone with whom he could be confronted for the empty belt, but not prepared with Makhachev, Topuria and Oliveira may be able to fight for Interim-Goud, while Makhachev is trying to become a two-division champion.
Although he may not be the biggest fan of fighting Topuria, that is more than probably the next opponent of Makhachev as Muhammad gets his hand on UFC 315.
Makhachev vs. Topuria would be one of the biggest title fights in UFC history with both hunters on a combined 31-Fight Win Streak.
Regarding the rest of the division, Justin Gaethje, Arman Tsarukyan, Paddy Pimblett and then Hooker will probably have to fight it for a title shot.
