
Daniel Cormier checked Jon Jones after he stated that he would destroy him worse at heavyweight.
Almost 8 years have passed since their last fight and the world is still talking about Jones vs. Cormier, one of the greatest rivalry in the UFC history.
Daniel Cormier went 0-2 against Jones on light heavyweight before their rematch at UFC 214 was destroyed from a TKO result to a no-contest after Jones had tested positively on the steroid Turinabol.
Although he may not have lifted his hand to Jon Jones, the UFC heavyweight champion once said Cormier said the greatest rival and motivator of his legendary career.
While UFC fans are impatiently waiting for his superfight with Tom Aspinall to be booked, Jones recently made the headlines when he claimed that he had beaten Cormier worse in the heavyweight division if both hunters were in their prime.
Cormier, the former champion who only lost his heavyweight from a man, would agree not to agree.

Daniel Cormier says that Jon Jones is 'out of his head' for heavyweight Vechtclaim
This week Cormier responded to Jones's comments by making Jones said he would not fight Cormier against heavyweight in 2019.
In the same interview, Jones also stated that his greatest chance of losing would be a man like Cormier, given his power and strength advantage.
“Let's make this faithful to everyone,” Cormier said about a good guy / bad guy.
“Jon Jones, when I actively fought, said that I would not fight Daniel against heavyweight because it gives him an advantage.” That is where he is the best. “

Daniel Cormier only lost his heavyweight to Stipe Miocic
Before he became the light heavyweight champion of the world in the absence of Jon Jones, Daniel Cormier was a dominant heavyweight with 13-right victories.
The wrestler defeated people as former UFC champion Frank Mir, Josh Barnett, Antonio Silva and Roy Nelson before he made the switch to 205LBS in 2014.
In 2018, a 39-year-old Cormier became a simultaneous two-division champion with a first round Ko by Stipe Miocic on UFC 226.
Cormier improved until 15-0 as a heavyweight with a title defense during Derrick Lewis months later.
Miocic, perhaps the greatest heavyweight of all time, would take revenge on 'DC' in the trilogy. In hard fighting, Miocic drew a Coormier comeback Ko in 2019 and a decision victory in 2020.
At the age of 41, Cormier retired after his decision loss for Miocic at UFC 252.
