It is Sean Strickland Fight Week and as usual the pre-Fight antics are in full swing. This time, 'Tarzan' does not exchange any hooks with his planned opponent.
Khamzat 'Borz' Chimaev is about to have a UFC Middleweight Title shot, and he says Sean Strickland that he has him in his sights. Chimaev has submitted Robert Whittaker to UFC 308, and he is the bona fide compulsory challenger for the winner of Strickland vs. Dricus du Plessis on UFC 312 in the eyes of many MMA fans.
Nevertheless, Chimaev has justified a collective collapse of the MMA community because he has taken a low blow at Strickland prior to his fight on UFC 312.

Strickland led to controversy this Vechtweek by commenting on Chimaev's relationship with Chechen dictator Ramzan Kadyrov. Strickland shot Chimaev for his controversial interactions with Kadyrov, agreed by him an 'f— W —.'
Chimaev hit back in Strickland and went to X, where he hit Strickland for 'Crying all the time' and armed the earlier reflections of Strickland on his troubled youth to insult him.
“Why do you cry baby all the time?” Chimaev wrote. “Father did not give you love, or did he show his love too much to you?”
Chimaev confirmed an old photo of a younger Strickland, a complete 180 of his current robust buzzcut appearance. Strickland tore in October 2024 in this photo of his young person himself and noticed that he was trying to “hide from hatred and anger.”

Will Sean Strickland and Khamzat Chimaev fight
Strickland proposes the middleweight throne on UFC 312. With a victory, he is more than likely to be confronted with Chimaev for his first title defense. Otherwise the fight cannot come out quickly. If Strickland loses, he will probably compete against Nassourdine Imavov, who has disabled Israel Adesanya in UFC Saudi -Aarabia or Caio Borralho, who beat Jared Canner in August 2024.
Chimaev and Strickland have previously trained together, where Strickland can be seen that he says Chimaev that he is 'better than everyone else'. With that in mind and the waste interview considered, a Strickland-Chimaev fight is very tempting.
