Joan Laporta, president of Barcelona, remains positive about Lamine Yamal's contract renewal, where the young person is expected to extend his stay in the club.
Yamal is expected to sign a new contract in July when he turns 18 after enjoying a new great campaign with Barcelona.
Following his success at Euro 2024, where he helped Spain to win the tournament, he helped Barca this season to claim the Laliga, Copa del Rey and Supercopa de Espana titles.
This season he scored 18 goals in all competitions and registered 21 assists, with only Raphinha (22) more.
Laporta has faith in the deal and praised how Yamal is appropriate in the Barcelona setup.
“It will go well. He is exceptional. And he is happy at Barca. We are working on this signing,” he said TV3.
“A lamine that explodes as it has, you have to treat it in a special way. It is outside the norm.
“We want him to be here for many years. Our approach will be important over time. Until now there has been no problems with his team; on the contrary, this will end well.”
Laporta has also published updates on Raphinha and Frenkie de Jong, who starts the last year of his deal.
The Brazilian is another Van Barcelona's standouts this period and plays 56 games in all matches, with only Pedri (58) with more.
Raphinha's 56 target involvement (34 goals, 22 assists) are the most by every Laliga player in all matches this season.
De Jong also has prominent present, 45 performances in all competitions, and Laporta wants to link their futures to Barcelona in the near future.
“Raphinha's new deal will take place. Deco has a strong bond with Rapha. The player feels very involved in the project,” he said. “We will reach an agreement because we want him to stay and he wants to stay.
'Frenkie de Jong New Deal? His situation is urgent. We don't want a player who only has an annual contract.
“He knows, and we talked about it. He is very motivated. We really love the Dutch School of Play. We dominate the game with him.”
