Manchester United is making a big loss on Antony if they sell the former Ajax star this summer – and could struggle Real Betis to even meet the current price tag of the winger
Real Betis Chief Manu Fajardo insists that the La Liga -Outfit will do 'everything possible' to permanently sign Antony. But it seems unlikely that they can reach the asking price of € 50 million (£ 42.8 million) from Manchester United for the winger.
Antony, 25, has enjoyed a remarkable Renaissance since he moved to Spain, where he registered nine target contributions in 18 competitions. He has looked much more at home at his loan club than at United, where he had trouble replicating the beautiful form that Erik Ten Hag and the previous regime convinced to splash £ 81 million on him.
Speculation about the future of the Brazilian has grown in recent weeks and Betis has made no secret of the fact that they would like to keep him.
But in the midst of claiming that the President of the Club has made a 'personal vow' to permanently sign Antony, it is thought that Real Betis cannot afford the price tag that United has placed on the former Ajax star.
As such, betis could try to conclude another loan agreement with United if they cannot reach an agreement via transfer costs.
Fajardo confirmed this weekend that real betis was determined to find a way to keep Antony in the club in the aftermath of his stunning impact since he went on loan in January. He said: “It's a source of satisfaction on a personal level [to have brought Antony to Real Betis]But it is the result of teamwork.

“Although I am responsible for sports management, there are many people involved in this signing. It is still early, but we will try to do everything possible to keep enjoying Antony in different ways.”
If real betis get their way and sign the winger permanently, it could mean that Manchester United is somewhat covering the ground when it comes to their demands. Even at their current asking price, the Red Devils are to make a huge loss with a player who played under ten Hag in the Eredivisie, who is far from ideal when the club wants to raise money to facilitate a summer overhaul.
Although he was discharged by the successor of the Dutchman, Ruben Amorim, Antony was recently full of praise for the United Manager and ESPN Brazil told: “I only had a short time [Amorim]But he is a very good coach. A very intelligent coach. United is currently going through a difficult time, but he is a good coach.
“I had a good relationship with him, but I needed a new challenge and I wish him all the happiness in the world in this last part of the season.”
