Michael Chandler opened himself to fans in his first social media post after he had lost against Paddy Pimblett on Saturday evening.
Former Bellator champion Chandler became brutal and TKO'd in the third round of his UFC 314 Co-Main event with Pimblett in Miami. He barely avoided in the hospital after a particularly knotty cut after a large knee of the Brit and returned to Nashville.
The loss marked a third consecutive defeat for 'Iron' Mike, who has not won since a knockout from Tony Ferguson from 2022. He would be confronted with Conor McGregor last year and spent the best part of two years on that fight before he continued on UFC 309 in November.
Michael Chandler shares emotional first message after UFC 314
Michael Chandler decided to take his time before he returned to social media after his loss against Paddy Pimblett. He stayed quiet during Sunday and most of Monday when he went his way home to his wife Brie and their children.
Never out of the fight. This photo summarizes it all. As long as I have these heartbeats and hands to hold, I have already won. pic.twitter.com/q7f1gb4khd

On Monday, Brie shared a number of photos on Instagram who showed her husband who wore sunglasses to hide his horrible cut, but generally 'still smiling'. He placed them all on his page again, before sharing a more long -term message on X.
“Never out of the fight,” he wrote to his 433,000+ followers next to a photo of himself who held hand with his eldest son Hap. “This photo summarizes it all. As long as I have this heartbeat and hands to hold, I have already won.”
UFC Legends advise Michael Chandler to retire after Paddy Pimblett.
Regardless of whether he wins or loses, Michael Chandler is a favorite with fans because of his exciting fighting style. He is regularly covered with blood, either of his or his opponent's, and is the type of hunter who will make a shot to land in an attempt to get the knockout.
But after a long career outside the UFC and now a 2-5 run in it, the legendary world champions Michael Bisping and Henry Cejudo believe that he should hang the gloves. The Brit calculates that Chandler's career is now over because of his age.
“I don't say this lightly, but that was a career-killing performance for Michael Chandler,” he said in a YouTube video. “If he was 30 years old, he could go again … But no, father's time is unbeaten. He is 38 years old and there is no way to compete again in the title.”
Cejudo believes that he still has a fight in him, but thinks it is not only results that hurt him; It is the way he comes to the last bell. “I think Chandler should only have one fight, man. I really do it,” said Cejudo on the Pound4Pound podcast with Kamaru Usman.
“I think we should go together with retirement, maybe on the same card. If I am Michael Chandler, yes, I would retire, Bro. His too much strokes, guy. It doesn't even take it, he takes elbows to the face, he is always cut and bloody. He is loved by people and people just forget.”
