Michael Chandler cryptically answers retirement calls days removed from brutal UFC 314 loss

After his brutal loss against Paddy Pimblett on UFC 314 last Saturday, Michael Chandler received phone calls to retire from the sport.

The commitment to the UFC 314-CO-Main event was increasing a few days when Conor McGregor declared his interest to fight the winner.

Paddy Pimblett then took the biggest victory of his career so far when he brutally stopped Chandler with ground-and-pound in the third round.

McGregor responded to the loss after placing a huge gamble of $ 50,000 on Michael Chandler to win the fight by KO, and admitted that his history with 'Iron' influenced his choice, although he thought Pimblett would win.

Michael Chandler answers cryptic pension calls

With the loss, Chandler is now on a three-fighter loss streak and is 1-5 in his last six UFC fights, and despite the fact that he is a favorite at a fan because of his fighting style, there is a call to retire.

Despite the different calls for him to reconsider his career in the UFC, the former UFC title has cryptically given his thoughts about retirement in a post on his social media, only a few days away from his brutal loss.

“There are really no words to describe the pain and disappointment that you feel … You just live in it … Let it take his destiny and leave you with what is left. From there you are building again,” Chandler started his explanation.

“The best thing you can do is continue with confident expectation and proud of the attempt. One thing is certain, I can rest knowing that I have prepared the best that I could and I was only responsible for my shortcomings in that octagon.

“My team prepared me. The UFC gave me the opportunity. I stepped in the ultimate evidence. Ready. Assist, but never beaten. Never out of the fight. Still in pursuit.

“Knorned, bloody and deeply sad, but I still have my soulmate by my side and three small hands to hold. The future is still rosy. Walk further. To the top!” Chandler continued.

What is the following for the next statement by Michael Chandler?

With the 38-year-old who apparently does not consider the calls for retirement, that raises the question of what the next is for 'Iron' Chandler.

It is unlikely that the UFC Chandler will feed with another young and hungry lightweight, despite the fact that Chandler probably welcomes that potential challenge.

The route that is more likely for Chandler at this point in his career is that he will fight against another legend in what could possibly be a double pension fight.

Former UFC star Donald Cerrone plant his comeback to the promotion, and that is a fight that can make much sense to both hunters.
