Il Corriere Dello Sport says that knowing that Liverpool is willing to sell Nunez this summer, Napoli Sports Chief Giovanni Manna makes an offer for the Uruguay International in line.
Nunez, himself, is ready to break the tires in Anfield after he has been blocked to leave for Al-Nassr during the market in January.
Al-Nassr remains enthusiastic, although large European clubs come forward at the end of the season, including Napoli.
The Nunez deal in Liverpool runs until 2028 and it has been suggested that he can leave when an offer of £ 60 million or more arrives.
