Real Madrid and Manchester United Legend Cristiano Ronaldo does not show any signs of retirement, even though they turn 40 in February this year. With his contract in Saudi Arabia this year there was a chat that he could leave Al-Nassr and move to Major League Soccer, the scheme of competition with Lionel Messi.
Ronaldo moved to Al-Nassr in a big shock 2.5 years ago, after he withdrew his contract with Manchester United in November 2022. Ronaldo is said to earn around € 500 million in the course of that deal, train as approximately € 200 m per season. Less than a month after the pens in the middle, Ronaldo was also sure that he would return to Europe before the end of his career.
However, that looks increasingly unlikely, with Marca reporting that Ronaldo is about to do a new two -year extension with the Saudi giants. Although his salary would remain the same, the business ties between Ronaldo and the Saudi Empire go much further than its salary and includes a percentage of ownership of the club.
One of the motives for Ronaldo is to pursue the 1,000 target marking, one of the objectives he set himself before the end of his career. He also wants to keep himself in shape and ready for the Portugal obligation – Ronaldo can still find the hope of being a factor at the World Cup 2026 in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Since he moved to Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo has made 99 performances for Al-Nassr, with 90 goals and 19 assists in those performances. He is also a top scorer in the Saudi Pro League this season with 23 goals, for the will of Karim Benzema and Ivan Toney.
Ronaldo has brought that to 934 goals, only 66 shy of his target. Although it might be too ambitious to achieve that total in one season, at least on the basis of his current averages, Ronaldo would certainly see it as a realistic target in the course of this reported new deal.
