Salah reveals he had a difficult off-field relationship with Sadio Mane

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has revealed that he had a difficult off-field relationship with former teammate Sadio Mane.

Salah and Mane were important figures in the enormously successful Liverpool side of Jurgen Klopp.

Mane came to Liverpool from Southampton in 2016 and then scored 120 goals and gave 37 assists in 269 games in all competitions.

Salah, who signed Liverpool a year after the arrival of Liverpool, contributed to 354 goals in all competitions for the Reds (244 goals, 110 assists). He is the third highest goal scorer of the club of all time.

But despite linking Liverpool to Premier League and Champions League titles during their time together in Anfield, Salah and Mane never saw eye to eye, says the Egyptian.

“Yes, there was tension with Sadio,” Salah told France Football.

“Mind you, we were professional until the end; I don't think it influenced the team.

“It is a person to want more, I understand that he is a competitor. We were not very close from the field, but we always respected each other.

“People can think of what they want; it is their right. But I invite everyone to notice that the person who has given the most assists, I am.”

Salah has helped 17 times in all competitions, which is actually the joint in the time of the latter in Liverpool, next to Roberto Firmino.

Mane, on the other hand, has set up Salah 12 times.

While Salah is enjoying a brilliant season in Liverpool, which contributes to 46 Premier League-Support-Slechts one shy of the record of one season in the competition play Mane next to Cristiano Ronaldo for Saudi Pro League side al-Nassr.
