Mohamed Salah spoke frankly about his former manager Jurgen Klopp when he outlined the most important differences of the German compared to Arne Slot.
Salah played 349 games under Klopp in Liverpool, scored 211 goals, helped to bring a league title back to Anfield for the first time in 30 years and was crucial for their Champions League success in 2019.
Under lock, the Egyptian scored 33 goals and this season provides 23 assists in all competitions, including 28 goals in the Premier League.
The performances of Salah helped the Dutch manager De Reds to their 20th English title of top flight in his debut season, making Rivals Manchester United the most ever its leveling.
After Klopp mentioned his Liverpool period last season, many wondered how the club would survive in his absence.
But Salah has revealed how easy it was for them to bounce back, under the supervision of lock.
The Egyptian explained that he and his teammates became complacency against the last stages of Klopp's rule.
He argued that the 'direct' approach to Slot at the club helped to play 'in the game'.
“In the preseason, Arne came to visit me and asked me to be an example for the other players,” Salah told L'Equipe.
“I told him he shouldn't worry, because I'm always at my best, not to give an example, but because I am like that.
“He told me what he expected from me in the game, with many responsibilities in the animation, I liked that.
'Arne is very direct, he brought the competition back into the game, while with Jurgen we might be a little too much in our comfort zone against the end.
'Arne and his staff are more open to discussion, for the exchange of feelings, I think that was important in my versions. And above all it led us to success. '
Salah further explained that winning the Premier League title in 2025 was a more satisfactory performance than when they did that in 2020, despite the last performance that ended with the 30-year title Drought of Liverpool.
He added; 'I told Virgil that, without taking away the honor of someone, winning the competition without Jurgen,' Bobby ', Sadio,' Hendo '(Jordan Henderson) and all 2020 teammates were even more special because we have a group of very good players, but most of them had never won before. It's gratifying. '
Klopp took the lead for 491 games in Liverpool and won 299 of them – an impressive profit percentage of 61 percent.
The experienced manager won eight trophies with the Merseyside Club -a Premier League title, a Champions League title, a FA Cup, two competition cups, a FA Community Shield, a UEFA Super Cup and a Fifa Club World Cup.
At the end of last season, he called it after a historical spell of nine years on Anfield and has been the head of Global Soccer for Red Bull since January.
Klopp is generally considered not only one of the greatest Liverpool managers of all time, but one of the largest in the Premier League era.
