Silva criticises Fulham’s lack of focus as European ambitions fade

Fulham boss Marco Silva criticized the lack of Focus on his part, while their bad form of shape continued with a 3-1 loss at home on Everton on Saturday.

The cottagers started the game well and went through the header of Raul Jimenez and had other options to add to their count.

But Fulham wasted those opportunities and the visitors repaired parity with a bent strike from Vitalii Mykolenko on the break.

Everton took place in the second half through goals from Michael Keane and Beto to send Fulham to a fourth loss in five games.

Indeed, Fulham has fallen 28 points this season from winning positions in the Premier League, the joint from each side (together with Southampton) and most of the cottagers in a single campaign in the competition.

And Silva, who served a touchline ban, regretted the lack of concentration of his players during the game.

“We have to correct the things that happened to us in the last three or four games,” Silva told BBC Sport.

“In these decisive moments of the season, if you want to fight there, you can't lose concentration. It is the story of the last three or four games.

“We must be willing to fight, do our work well and we didn't do that. It's about concentration and focus.

“We have to blame ourselves because it has not happened before, but it did in recent weeks.”

Everton -Manager David Moyes praised the development of striker Beto while he scored his seventh goal since the scot reappointed.

Only Mohamed Salah, Alexander Isak (both 10) and Jean-Philippe Mateta (nine) have found it just more often than the Portuguese attacker since Moyes returned to the club in January.

“He is well done, he improves,” Moyes told BBC Sport.

“If he was a 19-year-old striker, you would say he has to go a bit, he is not, but he certainly improves. Let's hope he can get goals in the remaining games.”

Everton came down from 1-0 to win a Premier League road for the first time since October 2022 (2-1 in Southampton), after he had won none of their previous 27 games on the road when he was first admitted for today (D6 L21).

Despite the victory, Moyes was not happy with the start of Everton, but on his part praised the tenancy to reach the final line.

He said, “It didn't look like

That way after the first 20, 25 minutes.

“I thought we were terribly on the ball, but we got stuck with it. We are a resilient crew and the players finally did well.”

Next week is probably emotional for the club, where Everton plays their last game in Goodison Park against Southampton.

Moyes revealed that he had already spoken to the players about the enormous size of the occasion.

“I just told the players that we have the biggest game of the season next week, and we are all ready,” Moyes concluded.
