Andre Onana is ready to fight for his career in Manchester United and Ruben Amorim shows that he can be his long-term no. 1.
The error -sensitive keeper has made nine errors that lead to a goal in all competitions since his arrival of £ 43.8 million from Inter Milan in 2023.
Onana, 29, was dropped by Amorim last month for the United Prem Clash in Newcastle after two blunders in the quarter -finals first leg of the Europa League against Lyon.
Yet the Cameroonian, who has won his place back, does not want to leave Old Trafford this summer and wants to be part of Amorim's Revolution.
And that can be accelerated if United Tottenham defeated in the Europa League final on 21 May, with a Champions League place at stake.
Onana's deal runs until 2028 and a source said: “Andre's plan is to stay in Manchester and he wants to fight and be united to where they should be.
“His only focus is on United and nothing else. He is a confident person and wants to prove the doubters incorrectly.
“He knows he made mistakes, but he sees the evidence of people wrong as a challenge.”
Manager Amorim offered Onana support and said that he himself made more mistakes than his players this season and that he remains “confident” in the stop.
Onana made his united teammates furious by taunting Lyon for their draw, and insisted that United was “much better” than their French opponents.
His comments caused a furious answer from Lyon's former Red Devils -midfielder Nemanja Matic, who called Onana “one of the worst keepers in the history of United”.
Onana then responded to that Jibe by beating the five trophy -free seasons of the Serbian trophies in Old Trafford.
The keeper was recently associated with a summer movement to Saudi Arabia as part of Amorim's Clearout.
And United-Die Turkish Stop Altay Bayindir also have a movement for Torino Keeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic as their second choice.
Milinkovic-Savic, 28, started his professional career at Old Trafford at the age of 17 before he left due to work problems.
The Serbian stop played this campaign an important role for Torino, with ten clean sheets holding in the Serie A..
